Matthew Aptaker, associate director of Global Operations and Program Support Services, has been a full-time employee at CRDF for more than seven years. Mr. Aptaker oversees the administration of all CRDF grant and contract awards and CRDF Solutions projects. He is responsible for developing policies and procedures related to award management, ensuring project compliance with applicable USG, funder and host country regulations, guiding the efficient implementation of CRDF projects and working with CRDF Solutions clients to help them collaborate with international partners.
During his tenure Mr. Aptaker has managed a wide variety of projects, including work under three major contracts with the Department of Energy, grants from the Departments of State and Agriculture, and on behalf of a host of US and international companies and universities. He has overseen the administration of CRDF projects and helped develop CRDF operations in Eurasia, South and Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
Mr. Aptaker attended the George Washington University in Washington, DC, and holds a bachelor of arts degree in political science. His previous work experience includes an internship for a grant program at the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
