How long does the GAP application process take?

The application process can take 4-8 weeks. The review and project activation process involves the following steps:

  • Internal review by CRDF staff to ensure that the application is complete and the activity is in compliance with the CRDF's organizational mission and program guidelines. The average time for completion of this review is 7 business days.
  • Review and concurrence of the application by the host government counterpart agency.  The average time for completing this review is 3-5 weeks.

Upon receipt of the necessary host country approvals, CRDF will notify the Sponsor Organization and issue a formal Project Agreement to the Recipient Project Director and Institution for their review and execution. Upon receipt of the signed Project Agreement, CRDF will counter sign the agreement and activate the project.
